If not solely for their breathtaking beauty, for what makes them unique beyond aesthetics. Dragonflies are ancient beings with their 300 million years in existence, there are about 6000 known species with astonishing variety, their unique ability to control each of four wings independently gives them unmatched freedom of movement and speed, they are formidable, acrobatic predators and they have a very curious evolution from egg to adult, starting their lives underwater.

Snake of Light I realised I had never made anything that leverages the power of P5js in WebGL rendering mode so I started coding with simple distance functions in mind. Sometimes it’s about knowing when to stop. I love how a few segments can look like they are an endlessly dancing snake that is made of light.
